Make and place it
Leather from the animals of the plains and some grass fibre make a bedroll. Place it on level ground.
Go to sleep
Once it is dark, stand still on the mat, or kneel or lie down on it. Hold still until the view fades. You wake at dawn, rested. Moving cancels it, and a bed in the open can be disturbed, so build a shelter around it.
TipSleeping never moves your respawn point. That is your pod.
