Camp and survival

Torches

A torch is lit while you hold it and dark in your pack. Press the handle into a wall to leave it behind.

Grab a torch and carry it; the flame lights up the ground around you.

Carry one

A torch burns while it is in your hand and goes dark in the pack or a holster. Keep a stack in your belly pocket and take one at a time.

Mount it

Push the bottom of the handle firmly into a wall or the floor and it stays there, lighting the area, though its light does not pass through walls. Grip the handle to take it back. Water puts a torch out.

Underground

Caves are almost completely dark. Mount torches as you go so you can find the way back. See Caves.

TipYou need coal to make torches. Dig some, or char wood in a campfire.
