What it is
A Reefmaw patrols a lake, river or sea and only hunts what is in the water. It winds up before it bites, and it hits harder than it looks.
Beating it
Stay out of the water, or fight it from the shore or with a Bow and arrows while it cannot reach you. A single thrust no longer finishes one.
