What it is
A Ceiling Stalker is all black, with one glowing mark on its back and eyes of the same colour: blue, red or green. In a dark cave the mark and the eyes are all you see. It moves in bursts and freezes dead, only its eyes following you.
How it hunts
It picks its move as the moment suits: a quick dart and bite, a feint to draw out a dodge, circling you on the walls and ceiling, or running up the rock to drop on you from above. Then it retreats and watches for the next chance.
No two hunt alike, and each has a tell before it strikes.
Dealing with it
Keep it in front of you, because it waits for you to look away. Step aside as it darts, hit it as it passes, and look up in caves.
