Where it comes from
Frontier raiders always drop a set, and sometimes a second. Sentry spheres and Signal guards leave some sometimes, the Castellan always, and cave caches hold them too. See Robot patrols.
What it is for
Plasma pistols, rifles and the blast hammer are built from them, and the Gun table needs them. See Plasma weapons.
