Doors and windows

Push them, or grab the handle and swing. A door eases shut by itself; a window stays where you leave it.

Reach out, grab the handle and swing the door open or shut.

Open and close

Push a door with your body or either hand, or grab its handle and swing it. Let go and it eases shut. Make the kit at the Sawmill table and place it in the opening.

Windows

A window swings the same way and has a small handle on each side. It stays open where you leave it and only catches near shut. The sawmill makes windows once it has the power feed. For plain glass, see glass panels in Building.

Inside the house, windows have a handle you can grab.

Breaking and mending

Creatures never push a door. They break it, and any weapon or fist can break one too. If a frame loses its hinge post, the door falls and lies in the doorway. Glass shatters under a real blow and only clinks under a light one. You can mend both.
